Is this your MAP into Midwifery?

Every day, we choose the path we walk on. Does your path lead towards midwifery?

Why healthcare?

Healthcare is a field built on curiosity about how the body works and commitment to helping it work better. Choosing healthcare means stepping into a community of people who are always learning, always adapting, and always striving to leave things better than they found them. For those drawn to challenges that matter and work that evolves with the world, healthcare offers a lifelong journey of purpose and possibility.

Why midwifery?

Midwifery is more than a career — it’s a commitment to support new life in its very first moments. It provides the chance to blend science with compassion, skill with intuition, and tradition with innovation. It's ideally suited to those who find meaning in both the quiet, personal moments and in the celebrated milestones. In steady hands and steady hearts, midwifery offers a life of purpose, connection, and profound impact - one birth, one family, one story at a time.

Why a didactic course?

Your apprenticeship will teach you a huge amount, but you can't possibly see every situation play out in a clinical setting, and most preceptors don't have the time (or the will) to fill in all the missing pieces for you. For some motivated, organized, book-loving midwifery students, self-guided learning is the right choice, but others bloom with more guidance, motivational learning, and a greater variety of learning activities.

Why MAP?

MAP into Midwifery is designed to be flexible, so you can choose your own pathway and timeline. It's designed to be rigorous, so you're ready for whatever lies ahead. It's designed to not waste your precious time, so you can do more of what you love. And it's designed to be fun, hands-on, varied, and individualized, so you enjoy your journey into midwifery. The program also prepares you for passing NARM, should you choose this route.

Every day, we choose the path we walk on. Does your path lead towards midwifery?

What content?

MAP through Midwifery weaves together the ancient art of midwifery with the insights of modern medical research. Each CEU draws from the latest peer-reviewed science and is fully approved by MEAC for license renewal. This sets it apart from many other continuing education offerings - such as refresher courses on topics like breech birth or charting - which may provide CE credits but do not meet the requirements for license renewal.

What learning styles?

Many CEU courses rely on passive learning, which often doesn’t lead to lasting retention. Ours are built around active learning and tailored to a variety of learning styles. You’ll find engaging, hands-on activities, visually appealing graphics, and thoughtfully designed written materials. The platform itself is elegant and intuitive, with bite-sized activities you can complete in one sitting or pause and return to later - perfect for the midwife life.

What speed?

CEU hours are based on the average time to complete each course, though your pace may vary. The more you engage, the more you’ll gain! Certificates are issued automatically upon completion. Some courses include assignments that require manual grading - clearly noted in the catalog - which we aim to complete within 2 days. If you need a certificate immediately, choose a course with only automatic grading.

What else?

Each CEU course includes a free downloadable gift - something thoughtful, practical, or just plain fun to enrich your learning experience. Depending on the course, this might be a pattern for crafting a lactation model, a carefully designed reference guide to use during appointments or labor and birth, artwork you can adapt and print for various uses in your practice, or another resource that complements the course content.
